EXPONENTIAL IMPACT
The idea of She Creates Change was born out of the need to support a generation of women leaders to drive systems change and build movements. By strengthening their capacity to create change and creating strong communities of support, we enable a critical mass of women leading change across India.

Women’s leadership in driving social change doubled
- Petitions started by women grew by over 1.8 times in the first year
- Number of women supporting petitions on women’s rights doubled since 2017
Women leaders achieved massive scale of support from their community and had impact
- Petition victories by women in India grew by 1.5 times from 2017 to 2018 and has remained stable
- A quarter of all impactful petitions by women since 2017 have come from the Changemakers who graduated from the She Creates Change program
Economic Inclusion for women became a top trend in India
- A third of all the petitions started by the Changemakers were related to Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE).
- Social & Workforce protection, Digital Inclusion and Education were the key outcome areas covered by WEE petitions.
- Over half the 7.8 million signatures gathered by the community were in support of WEE petitions.
