DECISION MAKERS RESPOND
Since the launch of She Creates Change in India, Heads of States, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament and corporate leaders have responded proactively to petitions started by women changemakers. They have considered these petitions as strong evidence of public opinion on gender issues and relied on them to guide policy decisions impacting millions of people.
Our data shows that this has created a stronger belief in people power and Change.org has emerged as a crucial tool for deepening participative democracy, enabling more citizen’s participation in decision making and more women emerging as leaders.
